It’s not just the ICE terror in Minnesota. This admin is continuing to tear up the borderlands, militarize communities, crush the endangered species, and wall people off from nature while pissing away billions of our tax dollars.

Now they're obliterating one of my favorite places in south Texas:

If this year was about getting off US tech, 2026 is the year to reassess the digital revolution — what works, what doesn’t; what to keep, and what to reject.

I’ve only just started to consider what needs to change about how I use digital technology, but I’m excited to learn more next year.
We need to reassess our relationship to digital tech
Getting off US tech led me to a wider questioning of digital convenience

Lots of talk about republicans turning on Trump and how that benefits democrats.

And yeah maybe a little but not as much as some think.

For one, A LOT of republicans are single-issue voters. Abortion being the biggest. And that’s just a hard no for them. No reasoning with them there.

Why aren’t democrats being as aggressive as AOC? Sure, they might not be as good in front of the camera as her, but there’s still a lot they can do.

I'm finding it harder and harder to defend the journalists who I admire to remain at the NYT.

Because what I keep hearing from many in defense of them sounds like they're saying the NYT is too big to fail.

Media companies aren't immortal, maybe it's time to walk away.

We have to consider the possibility that CBP is acting like this because this is how they’ve always wanted to act and the change isn’t Trump saying they should so much as there’s no longer anyone to tell them no.
An Australian man with a US work visa was detained upon reentry, called a “retard” and told, “Trump is back in town; we’re doing things the way we should have always been doing them.”

He was held with 100 people including many Canadians.

AOC doesn’t get enough credit man. She’s fearless. No major missteps or scandals and just always on the right side of issues.

All while always being attacked by both republicans AND democrats for what? Wanting a better environment? Helping the poor? Fighting corruption?

Agreed. Same for Jim Cramer.
my humble opinion is that if your job is to manage risk and make big decisions about markets and you screw up your judgement this badly you should be disqualified from ever managing money and also shunned completely from speaking on the subject in public again
