I, for one, am sorry I missed it.
(Also: apologies to anyone who was within blast radius when I started talking about Jocelyn of Furness and the establishment of the cult of Kentigern. When I get excited sometimes I forget what "enough information" looks like for normal people.)

Starmer to end asylum ‘golden ticket’ of resettlement and family reunion rights
People granted asylum will have to earn right to invite family in plan charities call ‘straight from populist playbook’
People granted asylum will no longer be given “the golden ticket” of resettlement and family reunion rights, Keir Starmer said, amid deepening concerns from charities that his words are demonising refugees.

Also important to ask - how will trans people, ever the punching bag of this govt and the assembled UK press, be represented in this single point of truth about the data self?
www.theguardian.com/politics/202... This is an extremely dangerous idea to propose right now. We can argue on civil liberties and privacy aspects, but the one thing systems like this need is institutional legitimacy, something that the UK’s media and political elite have been torching in recent yrs.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

This has surprised me as much as hearing tonight that Tennessee Williams only died in 1983, meaning he was alive at the same time as Serena and Venus, the other tennisy Williams
a thing I have just discovered that feels utterly wrong is that Arthur Miller only died in 2005. he could have seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. he could have seen Donnie Darko!

Let's not be too hasty.... The typo sounds rather tasty.
Urgent assessment update. This semester, due to an unfortunate autocorrect error, every exam question _must_ concern curdled milk and/or alcohol.
A change has been requested and we hope that next semester's Regulations will not contain the statement "all examinable material is in the syllabubs".

About this Florida vaccine story:
When they were little - 1 yr and 3 1/2 - my two older boys, who’d had all their shots, got whooping cough.
We asked their pediatrician what would’ve happened if they hadn’t been vaccinated.
“Oh, they’d have died.”
