Georgia’s Medicaid work requirements program spent two times as much on administrative costs as on health care costs — while preventing thousands of eligible Georgians from accessing health care.

Say it with me: Medicaid work requirements don’t work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzMqYttKv1c

People who call Gen Z the "lazy generation" have clearly never met any of the numerous young people I know who are working multiple jobs to provide for themselves, their siblings, and sometimes their parents.

The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns.

The oil industry buys off Congress. No action on climate.

Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care.

The list goes on and on.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

Republicans keep saying the $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts are only cutting “waste fraud and abuse”… and yet not a single arrest. Funny how that works!

Shuler: This is the choice working Americans have been given: chaos, or the same broken status quo.

We wanted cheaper groceries—and we got tanks in our streets.

We wanted affordable health care—and instead, 16 million Americans are about to be kicked off their coverage

Now that we know guns don’t actually prevent an authoritarian government, can we maybe do something about the fact that children keep getting murdered while in school?

I'm tired of this theater where Donald Trump asks Republicans to do something, they seem to push bank and then cave. The only two factions of the current GOP are proud MAGA and scared MAGA. Anyone who thinks Republicans are acting in good faith is delusional.

For the record, our division commander BANNED things called “presence patrols” in Iraq.

“If you don’t have a specific task & purpose, your ‘presence’ doesn’t do anything.”

National Guard stating they are now doing presence patrols in DC.

A complete waste of soldier’s time & effort.

I keep getting reminded that if this was France, there would be a national strike about now. And impeachment proceedings. It's saddening how quickly so many institutions have done that cost calculation and simply bend the knee to avoid standing up to tyranny. And I put most of Congress in that camp
Federalizing the police in DC and deploying the National Guard for no reason...I worried this piece was too strong back in June. But we are really living in a personalist dictatorship in both domestic and foreign policy. @foreignaffairs.com 1/ www.foreignaffairs.com/guest-pass/r...
