@krccnews.bsky.social it was wild to just hear you talk about tomorrow's "military parade" without any mention of Trump and as if it was just any other news story. I get that y'all were just setting up the national story, but come on. We'd like a little truthfulness in reporting that this is BONKERS

Idea for fighting fascism: what if @mcuban.bsky.social + other billionaires offered to give ICE + DHS + other cops jobs if they quit their work being kidnappers + enforcers? Seems like a positive way to use one's fortune and be a hero in the final days of the American empire. 🤷‍♀️

Anyone on board with a petition to move @lastweektonight.com to another day of the week? Because the news right now and John Oliver's deep dives just exacerbate the Sunday Scaries.

If over half of the country is experiencing something, I think it's safe to say that living paycheck to paycheck isn't an individual choice situation, but rather a failure of our structures and systems as a nation.

We are in a Constitutional crisis: Dr. Rasha Alawieh is a transplant surgeon from Lebanon, a Professor at Brown, trained in USA, here on a valid H1-B, zero criminal record, & Trump regime arrested her anyway.

A judge ordered a block to her deportation. Trump deported her anyway. These are fascists.

Things are moving quickly, but it looks like these Sen's especially need calls from *constituents* to vote NO on cloture:

Angus King (ME)
Amy Klobuchar (MN)
Jacky Rosen (NV)
Brian Schatz (HI)
Maggie Hassan (NH)
Jeanne Shaheen (NH)
Gary Peters (MI)

Capitol switchboard is 202-224-3121.
This is NEW today. AOC sent this 11 am. Friday morning.

Yes, your calls are still needed. The vote is in the early afternoon. There is still time!
KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN.

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!

This is really bad. There has long been censorship in this country, but this is an escalation that needs to be seen for the reduction of first amendment rights that it is.

Last year, Republicans silenced her.

This year, many stood beside her and defeated four anti-trans bills.

This is the power of standing up for your beliefs and for what's right, and good trouble.

National Democrats, take notice.

When Trump was sworn in, Elon Musk's corporations were under more than 32 investigations conducted by at least 11 federal agencies.

Most of the cases are now closed or likely to be closed soon, and the federal agencies are being defanged by DOGE.

Funny how that works, huh?
