Nice little independent central bank you got right there. Would be a shame if something happened to it.
Sen. Kevin Cramer: "Maybe the point should be if you're the attorney for Jay Powell and you want to avoid an indictment, how about you go to Jeanine Pirro and say, 'I'll make a deal. I'll step down today if you drop the investigation today.' To me, that would be a win win for everybody."

The epitome of a “Kavanaugh Stop.”

“[CBP] sometimes makes brief investigative stops to check immigration status…. If the officers learn that the individual they stopped is a US citizen or otherwise lawfully in the United States, they promptly let the individual go.”

History will remember Brett.

Rep. Casten has it absolutely correct: Trump is *both* weaker *and* more dangerous than ever.

Buckle up, but don't be afraid. Because fear is how he wins.
Let's be clear. Donald Trump will indict the Fed Chair, kidnap foreign leaders and kill American citizens in MN if it distracts you from asking WTF is in the Epstein files because HIS BASE doesn't like pedophiles. None of this is normal. But everything he does is from weakness right now.

Q: "Do you believe that deadly force was necessary?"

If a federal agent tries to assault you, just scream "JOE BIDEN STOLE THE 2020 ELECTION"

It's apparently like an Uno Reverse card. Now *you* get to assault the cops without any penalty. Beat them with a flagpole, use mace or bear spray on them, whatever.

I'm sure the lawyers here will back me up.

For a literal decade the official CBP policy has been “don’t stand in front of or behind vehicles” because the decade before that their internally commissioned studies found that agents were putting themselves in front of vehicles so as to shoot the occupants

I know there’s a lot going on here but our disgraced, addled leader is also encouraging and enabling escalating genocide in Ukraine.
Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, remains in total darkness yet another day after a brutal Russian attack. No heat, electricity, or water. Subzero temperatures. The mayor has advised people to leave the city if they can to try to avoid mass deaths. This is Russian genocide of Ukrainians.

Please understand what it means when journalists are evacuating their family members out of town.

In any other country, we would be approaching "foreign sanctions" territory
We evacuated our kids out of Minneapolis this weekend and my spouse reports that as she drove them out of town she saw "multiple freeway exits where people are being pulled over." It feels like the Twin Cities is being subjugated by a hostile occupying force.

NYT video shows ICE gunman was already agitated prior to murdering Good. He was counter-filming bystanders with his cellphone while walking into the street to the right of Good's car, moments before he murdered her. Why did he need to film onlookers? He's supposed to be wearing a camera.

Hard, hard disagree. You do not need a constitutional amendment to abolish ICE or disestablish DHS. We can do this - but not this year. A new American coalition can do it, but it'll be long after this bunch of soulless opportunists are flushed from government.
Of course, none of this is going to happen. Abolishing ICE is about as likely as fixing the electoral college.
