Overly-optimistic perhaps, but I keep hoping that one day consumers will get completely get sick of smart technology and it ushers in a new era of minimalist technology that values pure function over trying to stuff devices with utility and "features" that are just there to create more e-waste.

Well shucks, it appears I'm allergic to all but the most noble of metals, so while I would -love- to wear costume jewelry, it appears only real gold will do.
