There is, for all intents and purposes, no academic freedom anymore for anyone teaching at a red state public university.
Texas A&M University will not reinstate a lecturer who was fired after a video of her teaching about gender identity in a children’s literature class went viral, despite a faculty appeals panel unanimously concluding that her dismissal was not justified.
Texas A&M won’t reinstate fired lecturer despite findings
A vice chancellor upheld the firing of Melissa McCoul, seen in a viral video being confronted by a student on her gender identity teachings, saying the termination was done with “good cause.”

What the hell also why does Santa not have a Gold card…????
Trump: We track Santa. We want to make sure that Santa is being good. We want to make sure that he's not infiltrated, that we're not infiltrating into our country a bad Santa. Santa loves Oklahoma like I do. You know, Oklahoma was very good to me in the election

How much are you going to pay doctors?

Which current hospitals get shut down ?

What happens if doctors opt out of the system ? Who is going to invest in new curative therapies. You ?

How much in taxes pr year do you think it's possible to collect if you took every penny from billionaires?
Half the amount that everyone currently pays could provide universal healthcare. Private health companies don’t need to exist. Eliminate them. And use your collective buying power and economies of scale to get it done. Every cent of their profit is healthcare denied.

I still cannot find a single CBS article reporting them pulling the 60 Minutes episode. If anyone has it can you link me? It is standard practice to report the news even if it is about yourself, but they seem to have neglected this reporting.

Q: In terms of the mission, do you see these ships as a counter to China?

TRUMP: It's a counter to everybody. It's not China. We get along great with China.

Like BBC, the NYT avoids the phrase, “the most openly corrupt president in American history”.
Since President Trump was elected a second time, he and his allies have raised nearly $2 billion for his favored political causes and passion projects. The astounding haul hints at a level of transactionalism for which it is difficult to find obvious comparisons in modern American history.

Well into his second term, the president and his allies have continued aggressively raising money. Many donors have interests before his administration, The Times found.

"Get the principals on camera" is such a telling phrase here, because it tells us that for Weiss there's no world in which the victims of these horrific actions can actually be seen as the subjects of the story: They're background noise, and the people who matter are the ones sending them.
Weiss concluded: “We need to be able to make every effort to get the principals on the record and on camera. To me, our viewers come first, not a listing schedule or anything else. And that is my North Star, and I hope it's the North Star of every person in this newsroom.”

Yes, and to the extent that Bari Weiss's job is "program for an audience of Trump so he doesn't shake us down again" she is doing her job just fine.
CBS paid the president of the United States millions in bribe money and now they censor news reports so it does not annoy him. I don’t know how much plainer we can put this.

Either Bari Weiss used the most hamhanded transparent excuse to kill a story about the Trump Administration's crimes against humanity just before it ran, or she managed to work at the New York Times for years without learning the first thing about journalism.

Which seems... possible, for her?
The whole idea that Weiss spiked the CECOT story because there wasn't an on-the-record statement from the Trump administration is laughable, as Sharyn Alfonsi notes. It's regular journalistic practice to run a story without comment, as long as you've given the source a chance, which 60 Minutes did.
