most of your favorite (still living) comedians are now assholes because the personality trait that drove them to success (desperately needing love from everyone) is emotional kryptonite once you are rich, successful, well known, and still fucking hate yourself.

I absolutely hate how true this is.

Got my shoes frozen and soaked because I was too lazy to grab the boots I knew I shouldn't have put away a couple of weeks ago when this horribleness was definitely long over. #dlws

Instead of fining them they should give them 2 wins per offence.

The problem with Threads isn't one that they can engineer their way out of. It isn't "oh, we need Starter Packs" or "oh, we need more feed options," it's "oh, we created a network and it immediately filled up with engagement farmers and brand accounts because it was built on the back of Instagram."

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Going through photos from gigs I’ve been to from before phone cameras got good. In a lot of cases it’s almost impossible to tell from the photo alone who it is. This is my favourite shot, from the date I guess it’s Paul Dempsey at the Corner Hotel 13/09/09 but who knows?!

V1 of my watch the Jays on the balcony setup. An old monitor upside down with a vesa mount hooked over the railing. There’s no way to flip the display so I currently have to send a command to the android tv over ssh. Hope to automate that in the future.
