I’m facilitating my first public hearing today and my first RAC tomorrow. I have such a stomachache. I know I’m totally prepared and it’s going to be fine, but new things are hard for me. I can do this. I know I can do this. *deep breath* 🫣

Trump and the fascists are going to try to make this about law and order. That narrative is total bullshit. ICE are kidnappers. They have broken the law every day, and their immoral mission to break apart families and communities and hurt countless people is fundamentally wrong.

I don’t think people understand how fucked we are as a state if we take the foot off the gas when it comes to funding out our homelessness and eviction prevention services. Hoovervilles will seem quaint by comparison.

Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek’s bill for a statewide homeless shelter system is in jeopardy. But there’s growing concern among housing advocates that the most recent revenue forecast could imperil the bill and potentially shrink state funding for shelters.

Ongoing trade tensions and slow economic growth have left state lawmakers with less to spend. That could make it harder to fulfill Gov. Tina Kotek’s housing vision.

There is research to show that making eye contact disrupts the cognitive resources used for complex tasks. This isn't autism research, but I think there's a good theory in here as to why autistic people find eye contact uncomfortable: it really is an overload.
