After I declared a hunger emergency and directed state teams to prepare, Oregon was ready when a federal court ordered the Trump Administration to release withheld SNAP funds. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. www.oregonlive.com/politics/202...

Federal cuts to SNAP are simply wrong. No Oregon family should go hungry, so we’re working to make sure every impacted Oregonian knows where to turn for help.
More than 300,000 Oregonians may lose or see cuts to SNAP benefits starting Nov. 1
Oregon says more than 300,000 people could lose or see reduced SNAP benefits starting Nov. 1 under new federal rules following passage of the "One Big Beautiful Bill."

The President can expect Oregon to stand up to him at every turn. We do not need or want military intervention in Portland.

President Trump's plan to deploy the Oregon National Guard is unnecessary, unlawful, and makes Oregonians less safe.

We're asking the court to rule against the President's unlawful plan to target Portland. President Trump's deployment of Oregon's National Guard is unnecessary, unlawful, and makes Oregonians less safe.

President Trump's deployment of the National Guard to Portland could cost taxpayers up to $10 million. It’s not just an abuse of power—it’s a failure to focus on solving real problems. So we asked Portlanders: how would you invest that money?

President Trump’s unlawful federalization of members of the Oregon National Guard could cost taxpayers up to $10 million. Our country and our state should be focused on solving real problems. www.centraloregondaily.com/news/regiona...

Today, I was in downtown Portland walking peacefully with Oregonians to say that we don’t need military intervention here.
We are peaceful.
We are united.
We are Oregon.

There is no insurrection. There is no threat to national security. There is no need or legal justification for military troops in our major city.

One of the best ways to support Oregonians facing mental health and addiction challenges is by strengthening our health care workforce. New legislation I signed will help recruit and retain more mental health professionals so people can get the support they need.

Today, we remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and the families who grieve for them still. We honor the courage and selflessness of the first responders that day. May we strive for the kindness and strength shown worldwide in the face of that tragedy.
