Federal cuts to SNAP are simply wrong. No Oregon family should go hungry, so we’re working to make sure every impacted Oregonian knows where to turn for help.
The President can expect Oregon to stand up to him at every turn. We do not need or want military intervention in Portland.

My office is reaching out to the White House and Homeland Security for more information. We have been provided no information on the reason or purpose of any military mission. There is no national security threat in Portland. Our communities are safe and calm.

Today, we remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and the families who grieve for them still. We honor the courage and selflessness of the first responders that day. May we strive for the kindness and strength shown worldwide in the face of that tragedy.
