I really wanted console style controls for Diablo ever since playing Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.
It took them a while, but they nailed it pretty hard when console Diablo 3 hit, it was everything I wanted control wise.

Tonight on the Mead Hall menu (top table only) slow roast shoulder of lamb with roast tatties, Yorkshire pudds, seasonal vegetables, and a gravy thick enough to slice.
Plus sprouts.
Lower tables. Sprouts.

Photorealism has always been a misguided goal, whether it be in animation, AI, or video games. Post-16bit gaming's shift to polygonal graphics was always about getting to photorealism. And sure, there are plenty of games that don't attempt realism (Katamari! Okami!), but that's the prevailing style.
