Reform UK have repeatedly said that Kent is their "flagship" council and "the shop window" for how they intend to run things.

When they are exposed as planning to slash social care for old people, in order to hire their cronies as advisors at £150k a pop, I think people should believe them. ~AA

Or, even better, sprawling in black tie across multiple female thighs in the Jacob Rees-Mogg Commons-front bench position, like poor dim Andrew. The latter certainly paid his dues, enabling Epstein to pose himself at Royal Ascot, Balmoral and Sandringham as well as Downing Street, Mar-a-Lago and hedge-fund mansions. The drip of pictures is pretty grim, not least for any unfortunates who didn’t really know or like the man and were blind to his activities but get branded “Epstein friend” by the flashbulb. Anyone hoping to rejoin has a very very long wait.

Frankly, if you're a rejoiner over 50, I'd suggest taking up stamp collecting or bird watching instead. It'll be more fulfilling.

In the summer of 1950 most US newspapers ran an AP story about how race had become the main issue in the upcoming Georgia governor's race. Segregationist Herman Tallmadge, governor from '47 to '55 and then a Senator until 1981 made a name for himself by refusing to "apologize for being a white man."
