I think I’ve never said this to anybody (not because it’s a secret or anything), there was a period that my comfort film was Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I think it’s totally normal to have a comfort movie that, to an outsider, seems like irrevocably fucked up selection.

Rob Reiner's first seven films: 1. Spinal Tap. 2. The Sure Thing. 3. Stand By Me. 4. THE PRINCESS BRIDE. 5. WHEN HARRY MET SALLY. 6. Misery 7. A Few Good Men. Good lord. Even Spielberg included 1941 in his first seven.

And that was after playing Michael Stivic. I hope this news isn't true. But...

One of the things that I Loved is that the main argument Carol makes about “saving” human kind is to protect individuality which is an inherent American (USA) trait and that’s why it didn’t translate to the rest of the non-infected humans.
One of the best shows in forever—achingly sad, hugely entertaining, and really REALLY thoughtful about important things like … the value of humanity. Really! And I gave away as little as I possibly could—almost nothing that’s not in the very opaque trailer.
In 'Pluribus,' isolation is the price of a frictionless life
The haunting new show from Vince Gilligan, who created Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is set in Gilligan's now-signature location, Albuquerque.

Thanks to all for your kind remembrances on this awful day. Words will come later. Only feelings at the moment. Mourn and remember him but don’t forget to celebrate too. We won’t see his like again. The man from another place has gone home. #DavidLynch #TwinPeaks

Not only is this scene a terrific piece of stunt-casting that works absurdly well, but it also extends into the 90-ish seconds that follow, when it feels like Spielberg gets a little more playful than he often allows himself to be, as David Lynch would want.
not Lynch's movie, I know, but god, what a sendoff

Lynch's sincerity and his penchant for exploring human darkness ultimately sprung from the same well, which is why his influence is so vast and why it's so difficult to do something """Lynchian.""" But he really loved when a thing was earnest and "corny," as seen below.
