Yesterday I was up on that pipeline route and a First Nation land guardian was explaining to me the riskiness of shipping oil on those waterways and I kept thinking: how f-ing broke is Canada that it’s thinking of doing this? This is ‘selling your kidney’ level of desperation.
Lets face it, this is a good day for oil companies, businesses, and those in the oil sector. Its a bad day for the environment and for reconciliation with Indigenous nations whose lands this thing will go over. As Blanchet stated, this is the official end of Canada's climate commitments.

More people should be talking about this.

The government is reducing service standards and Canada Post’s biggest advantage: its nationwide network.

This plan is about cutting back the postal service instead of investing to give it new revenue tools through things like postal banking. It’s shameful.

Weird how the BC NDP ensures there's enough money to put cops in schools, but not enough money for shoes and backpacks.
NEW: The Tyee has learned a “transformative” $20-million fund that reduced costs for vulnerable kids and connected others with supplies, clothing and shoes has been quietly cut by the B.C. government.

Never let anyone tell you they give a shit about the little guy or wealth equality if they systematically attack and dismantle one of the only means of supporting both!

But at this point it feels like an endorsement of Carney, and he has done nothing we should endorse.

Never normalize genocide
Francesca Albanese is a truth teller. She has spoken out against the genocide of Palestinian civilians as UN representative. Trump is targeting her. Canada is totally silent.
