This is one mean little Hawk!

Even though it was almost half the size, this Red Shouldered Hawk chased off the Red Tailed!

The League is conducting a survey to better understand the needs and priorities of the orchestra field. Whether you use our resources daily or rarely, your perspective helps us serve everyone better.

10-15 minutes to make your voice heard.

When you photograph race cars for a living, the serenity of bird photography can be a welcome. In 1991 this Black Necked Stilt presented itself in front of my camera in the Florida marshlands #birds #shotonfilm #blackneckedstilt BCPIX.com

A lot of small birds take a bit of time splashing in shallow water when they bath.
Not swallows.
This barn swallow flew directly into the marsh at Mach 5, completely submerged for a second, and then exploded out in a shower of water drops to continue on its way!

Most Plain-pouched Hornbills are observed from a far distance, but a few of them do occasionally fly by close to the watchsite giving closeup photo op. This unique hornbill #migration is best appreciated in S #Thailand in July

Part of learning photography as art and not only as a tool for visual record is learning to balance your subject with negative space

Many photos can be cropped closely with the combination of equipment and post processing to maintain an incredible level of detail

But this is more interesting

Not so local birding.

Visiting the grandkids in Brooklyn we had close looks at the resident Pea Fowl while dropping off for zoo camp.
