An energy revolution is underway in this century, though it’s unfolded in ways slow enough and technical enough for most people not to notice (and I assume it’s nowhere near finished). It is astonishing – a powerful solution to the climate crisis... [Wrote it a while ago; came out yesterday.]

It has come to my attention that HOW TO BECOME THE DARK LORD AND DIE TRYING is ON SALE at the Kindle (US) store for $2.99! I think this will continue to be true as we approach the launch of the sequel!

Which is so weird given how sincere they are in the desire to stamp out anti-Semitism. So weird.

Senator Cory Booker has now beaten Ted Cruz' record for a speech on the Senate floor (21 hours and 19 minutes) in 2013.

Way to go, Cory!!!!!!

Next up: Senator Wayne Morse of Oregon who lasted 22 hours and 26 minutes in 1953.

And only 3 hours to beat Strom Thurman's all-time record!

Keep going!

I will just put this out there. If all the senators who are saying they want to block this bill really wanted to badly enough they could force Schumer's hand. This isn't 'if Mike Pence has courage'. A leader doesn't buck the overwhelming majority of his caucus. Doesn't happen.

Senate Democrats—

A vote AGAINST the Republican CR isn’t a vote to shut down the government—they’re in charge and need your votes.

But a vote FOR the Republican CR is a vote to allow Elon Musk to continue shutting down the government and nullifying the role of Congress.

Ds have been united against the budget, which is good. They should tie all funding bills to Musk though and demand his removal before they offer any votes. www.publicnotice.co/p/elon-musk-...
Democrats should make Elon Musk the face of the GOP budget
He’s unpopular and House Republicans are starting to get nervous.

@djangowexler.bsky.social I'm working my way through The Shadow Campaigns - 1/3 of the way thru Guns of Empire and I just wanted to thank you for Marcus D'Ivoire. He's become a fave all-time character - especially when he's being a bit of an endearing dolt. Loving this series! ❤️ ❤️

As more AI horseshit on Meta platforms gets announced, I find myself thinking a lot about Hard Reboot by @djangowexler.bsky.social. It’s a novella from 2021 and the premise is that Earth is a literal junkyard of old, broken mechs and has AI spam so intense and terrible it causes physical pain.
