Bought this at Books on Broadway in Williston, ND today, where it was on a small shelf of literary books (nearby for some reason there were 4 brand new copies of Spenser's Faerie Queene), and now reading it in the Regina airport; so far, it is absolutely incredible.

A heads-up on the eve. Tomorrow is pub day for Written on the Dark, Canada and US (Thursday in UK). Launch is here in Toronto at the Lillian H. Smith Library on College. The doors open at 6:15, they tell me. I will NOT sing Puccini, or Joni. Ignore that rumour.
