Writing reminds me of prospecting for fossils. I’m here, looking at where I want to go, but I’m not entirely sure how I’m going to get there or what I might find when I do. The only way to do it is to start moving, backtracking and entertaining diversions along the way.

Just today we’ve had an adult with their toddler, an older retiree, and now 2 people who appear to be on a first/early date all making cards to put inside Midwest Food Bank boxes.
