While I do like the unity, this doesn’t work in most MLS climates as the Northern cities are too cold. You can’t actually think Minnesota will play footy outside in the middle of January. That’s ridiculous. Not to mention how cold the fans will be as well.
A new era for MLS, as the league has announced a new summer-to-spring schedule beginning in 2027.

Sad to hear about Dryden. The Game and Game Change are the two best books about hockey - definitely read both if you haven’t

I like Knies, I don’t know if I think enough of his line was him to warrant that price tag, but we’re in the nothing matters stage and it’s over with so whatever

I haven’t criticized Marsch much in his coaching tenure, but he made some very poor coaching decisions tonight. Namely, he should have subbed off DSC for Crepeau, and he should NOT have left the fate of the match in the hands of a 19-year-old who missed a penalty a few weeks ago. #GoldCup

Excellent matchup for us, but why are we playing this in the USA instead of Colombia or Canada?
The #CanMNT’s fall schedule continues to come together, as they’ll play Colombia in New Jersey in October

Along with friendlies vs Romania and Wales, that’s a solid lineup. And there’s more still to come, with a friendly in Montréal in October

Unfortunate they couldn’t get this one in Canada, tho

On the player side, this year’s Hall class is… exactly right?

Guys, some of us need something to complain about over the next few days before the draft. Do better. Or worse, I guess.

Duncan Keith, Zdeno Chara, Alexander Mogilny, Joe Thornton, Jenn Botterill and Brianna Decker is a hell of an induction class for the HHOF.

The Thunder are the seventh different NBA champion in the last seven years. The first time in NBA history that's happened.

Thunder
Celtics
Nuggets
Warriors
Bucks
Lakers
Raptors

There were six different champs from 1975-80.

I seriously would rather the Leafs let Tavares walk and they spend more wisely elsewhere, than give him like $6M x 3 years.

There is a fair deal in between $4M and $6M.

Canada goes from its best game in the Marsch era to its worst game. Just a poor all around effort tonight from Les Rouges. Curaçao is the definition of a football minnow. Canada should have won this match easily, despite resting several key guys.

It’s a year away and we don’t know who will be in Canada’s group and who our first opponent will be, or who will even be on Canada’s roster. Doing this exercise now is kind of pointless
The first edition of “Race for the Roster” has dropped, and this is Steven Caldwell’s Starting XI prediction for Canada’s opening game. What do you think? 🇨🇦 #FIFAWorldCup #CANMNT

The things to watch - the defence did bleed a bit more big chances sans Moïse Bombito. To be expected, but worth noting

Also, Tajon Buchanan was fantastic. Back in form

Luc De Fougerolles was also fantastic. Nathan Saliba grew into the game nicely

Ukraine got some late goals to make it interesting, but what a game from the #CanMNT, who win 4-2 to kick off the Canadian Shield

The press was relentless, the attack was dangerous, and the youngsters balled out. Lots to like

Good start to a busy summer for Jesse Marsch’s side

Like this idea that Marner is the difference between 2nd in the conference and 9th is entirely absurd to the point of nonsense.

This never should have happened. A company older than both Canada and the United States itself should never have been this poorly managed. Over 8000 employees out of work and without severance pay

This wasn't THE ending for "Inside the NBA," but it was AN ending of an era — one that evokes fond memories for so many of today's hoops fans.

Thanks for everything, TNT. You met the moment like always, all the way to the end.

What happened to all of the so-called parity in the NHL that Gary Bettman keeps going on about? We could see a repeat of last year’s final, we are one game away from a second team in five years going to three straight years. A Florida team is about to go to its 6th straight SCF. Incredibly boring.

Auston Matthews said there were “too many passengers” tonight. Impossible to disagree but equally impossible to comprehend how that happens in a Game 7 at home
