Maybe it’s just me thinking like a dingdong here but I don’t think Josh Doan’s new deal has anything to do with what happens with Alex Tuch. Those are two different worlds at work here.

That long of an extension for Doan on top of a very reasonable (and under Tage Thompson) cap hit makes this look like a superb deal for the Sabres.
