In v1.110, Bluesky now has a dark-mode app icon — for anyone who thinks light mode should require a content warning.

One of the paintings to make me pause was this as it felt like it could have been some advert for Mirage/Taboo 80s style drinks rather than from 1930.

📢 v1.113 is rolling out now!

This release focuses on fixing bugs and improving the stability of the app. We also fixed an issue some of you reported about the app locking up while watching fullscreen videos.

With that done, we have some bigger things planned to kick 2026 off right — more soon!

So we’re not supposed to believe our eyes when we’ve seen multiple videos that confirm what we know we saw?

Just a reminder that the US Right have been (speciously) warning for decades that the people of the US might one day need to form a people's militia to oust a government that tries to impose a tyranny.

If you are still on twitter.

This is your narrative.

This is your story.

This is what you support, maybe not with words, but definitely with actions.

I live in Minnesota.

I’m going to my kid’s school when it lets out today. Parents are making sure kids get safely to buses and cars so they get home.

We’ll be filming.

We’ll be there to protect our children from our government. It’s come to that.

I expect it will be a huge crowd.

Make sense?

Any administration that instantly clears one of its officers of a suspected capital crime is just begging for other trigger-happy poorly trained ICE officers to do the same.

The White House isn't protecting its officers. It's encouraging them to ignore the law. And that puts more Americans at risk.

Week 1. We invaded Venezuela. We killed the ACA subsidies. We destroyed the Kennedy Center. We murdered a woman in cold blood over deportations. We threatened Greenland, now we are offering them $100,000 per person to allow us to take over their country.
First 7 days. Can we survive a year of this?

He’s not wrong
GERMAN PRESIDENT STEINMEIER:

“.. the United States has broken with the values that it helped to establish ..

“.. we have now moved beyond the stage where we can lament the lack of respect for international law or the erosion of the international order; we are far beyond that, I believe.”

I just voted for the bipartisan bill to prevent President Trump from continuing his war in Venezuela without authorization from Congress. In an unexpected move 5 Republicans joined us to move this forward.

We need to lower costs in America, not try to “run” another country.

I still can’t believe anyone would vote for him, especially after seeing the disaster of his first presidential term.

Authoritarians want you to despair, they want you to give up Trump is powerful, but only because a lot of people gave him that power. Giving up in advance is one of the worst things you can do.
This kind of thing does point out a real ethical dilemma: block or mute?
