I do enjoy that Dragon’s Dogma 2 does this (fast travel is a diegetic horse-cart; you can fall asleep and wake up there, but sometimes you get woken up mid-route and your cart is under attack and it gets blown up and you just gotta go on foot now)

I have this idea for a video game where there's a fast travel option but every time you fast travel there's a 12% chance instead of taking you to your destination it drops you off in an entirely different place and then there's an ultrahard on-foot section. I call it "the Toronto Transit Commission"

Yes! We made it politically and economically too uncomfortable to be openly homophobic, and we can do the same about transphobia. Make it too costly to be an anti-trans bigot for these garbage people who don’t care about anything unless it affects them directly
