Bob Iger is an imbecile, and this will be extremely destructive to Disney in the long term. Inkwell has it right — at this point, any artist who can afford to say no to Disney, should.
With the recent news I am deeply disappointed and disgusted.

Disney would be nothing without human artists and with AI or not they will continue to be nothing without human artists. For that reason I don’t think this will last. I will no longer accepting assignments or work based on Disney IP.

This MTV recording I found from an extremely golden age of 1994 is a time capsule of exactly specifically the last time the world existed before Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” as shown by this ominous trailer. Make of that what you will.
If MTV only knew what they were about to unleash...

The Disney AI deal pretty much confirms the direction that I thought big studios would go: make themselves purveyors of IP for the machines. In their minds, it’s a way to generate money without pesky actors or directors or critics.

Choosing this image to rip off not only shows that AI does nothing but steal and mask, but also that it spits in the face of the labor that built this country.

Sitting in previews before ZOOTOPIA 2 and they are all existing franchise stuff. Space Jam, SpongeBob, Mario, Star Wars, Cat in the Hat… Everything except Pixar’s HOPPERS. Pixar is apparently the only studio willing to tell original stories anymore?
