I think American exceptionalism and isolationism has instilled in many USians the idea that what happens at home is the only thing that matters, and everything else is noise. But the rest of the world understands we must all pay attention to and engage with the mosaic of political globalism.
This isn’t a knock but you’re Canadian right? If I was Canadian I’d ignore US politics right now. Like I’m jealous of Canadians of my preconceived notion that you guys can easily do that?
