I stayed up way too late the other night reading the new edition of @qntm.org’s excellent “There Is No Antimemetics Division”.

I figured this out. The controller is for me and the signal is for you.
I keep the controller locally, but I pass only the signal into the asynchronous method call. Only I can call abort, you just respond to that call when it happens

I have been having fun with AbortControllers and AbortSignals but I am not sure what the intended separation of concerns is between them?

Names of more advanced polyhedra are bloated, confusing and unmemorable. We don't call it a "hexahedron", we call it a "cube", so why should we stand for "icosidodecahedron" when we can call it like a "vlex"

I preordered @qntm.org’s There Is No Antimemetics Division, and it arrived two days go. Today… a second copy arrived. I only ordered one. There’s no records of a second order or shipping details for a second copy. This feels appropriate to the story, somehow.
