This made my hair stand up. If you’ve ever seen or heard these birds, it’s a treat; with the sunset here it’s a masterpiece.
Earlier in the year I drove 9600 miles to do Milky Way photography.

Between that, work, my health, and the terrors, I'm exhausted.

I promised myself no more trips over 100 miles from home for the year, unless critical for the union.

I broke that promise Saturday.

Worth it.

Final version. 🪶

Now I’m remembering how much fun it is to see women’s basketball go nuts for Pride month … maybe even more this year, what with so many entities abandoning Pride #WNBA

On Jan. 5, 1974, four women went to the Brunswick House Tavern in Toronto.
While performing a song, they changed the lyrics to be an empowerment of lesbianism.
They were ordered to leave and then arrested by police.
This is the story of The Brunswick Four.

Dear @wnba.bsky.social announcers: a little less color commentary, a little more calling the game, please and thank you. Still: SO GOOD to be seeing basketball again. 🏀 🎉

So so cool. (Reminds me how much I enjoyed @edyong209.bsky.social ‘s “An Immense World” - and makes me hope all my neighbors are forming Alert Circles to protect our herd against the regime.)
WATCH: Elephants at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park react to Monday's 5.2 magnitude earthquake that shook San Diego County. The elephants formed an "alert circle" meant to protect the young and the entire herd from any threats, according to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance.

@pmskinner.bsky.social - I keep wondering: what if someone had trained these officers to think “how would I handle this situation with my neighbor if I didn’t have a badge and a gun?” My town’s heart breaks.

Hydrate, eat a nourishing snack, put the finishing touches on your sign, and GET AFTER IT when we take to the streets tomorrow.

Thinking of @glaucomflecken.bsky.social for reasons... I’m a physician, supposed to have surgery in 3 weeks to revise a free flap on my head: after 6 brain surgeries, this was supposed to be the last step, letting me get back to professional and personal normalcy.
