UPDATE: The charges against her have been dropped “in the interest of justice” (she bit one of the brownshirts that assaulted her) and the private security firm has lost their license to operate. I hope she sues them into oblivion.
PLEASE: Watch what happened in Coeur d'Alene Idaho today. This is fascism. Unmarked cops. 1A violations. RESIST.

What’s worse? That the US Attorney’s office for DC call themselves “Trump’s lawyers” or that they don’t know where to put the apostrophe?

People need to brace themselves for the strong possibility that the Roberts Court rules with Trump here. It's the natural end point of the unitary executive theory.

Only the sheer magnitude of incompetence might make them blink.
New in PN: How Trump's lawyers are trying to make him a king

"In practical terms, if Trump gets SCOTUS to agree he has unfettered power to remove members of independent regulatory agencies, their independence is over. No more will they issue decisions that don’t reflect his policy preferences."
How Trump's lawyers are trying to make him a king
They're advancing a roided-up version of the "unitary executive theory."

One of most important legal developments happened in Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly's courtroom on Monday.

As I have noted, KEY issue to watch is claim that Musk/DOGE are operating in violation of Appointments Clause. It's the whole ballgame.

Judge Kollar-Kotelly appears aligned with Judge Chutkan:
Judge Questions Constitutionality of Musk’s DOGE Operation
The judge expressed concern over the unresolved issues about who is in charge of Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency, if it is not Mr. Musk, as the White House has claimed.

Claiming that billions of congressionally approved funds were fraud to justify your existence is textbook fraud.

Claiming fraud while targeting agencies investigating yourself is fraud.

DOGE is the fraud, and it needs prosecution when adults take over.

Despite the hype, DOGE hasn't found a shred of fraud
All they've really got is "spending that Elon Musk doesn't like."

Inauguration Day:

So much of what was done yesterday is and will prove to be deeply unpopular. The pardons of violent insurrectionists (which JD Vance said wouldn’t happen only days ago). Prescription drug price increases. The price increases that will follow tariffs. And so on.

"The tragic irony is that Trump will inherit a thriving economy, which he’ll claim he restored to its pre-2020 greatness through sheer force of will, and neither the media nor even his fellow Dems are likely to spend much time defending Biden’s record."

RFK, Jr. claimed his anti-vax work was a labor of love that cost him friendships. He said he’d never made money from it. But now he admits he made (checks notes) $1.2 million from it. How do you “forget” about that much money?

From cozying up to dictators like Putin to switching positions and parties as soon as it's politically advantageous, the only quality of Tulsi Gabbard's you can rely on is her selfish thirst for power. That makes her a very dangerous pick to lead our national intelligence.
