Law librarian by day. If I’m talking about anything other than dogs, cheese, baked goods, or theatre, it’s probably an imposter. She/Her
In devastating news that likely matters only to me (for now,) I just found out the Milan/Cortino Women’s Hockey Gold Medal Game is scheduled directly opposite the Women’s Free Skate.

(I would say this will become an Olympics account on Feb. 4, but I’ll be too busy watching the Olympics to skeet.)

can’t tell if my antidepressants aren’t working or if they just weren’t built for this. like, zoloft was introduced in the 90s it barely needed to work then. if you got sad you could just buy a house.

I'm begging folks to not compliment themselves too much on their "non-violent" marches & rallies.

Instead, try to understand that violence at protests is generally a result of law enforcement escalation.

Then, the galaxy brain move is to ask yourself "which protests do police tend to attack?"

This is Duvalín. She is proud of her Mexican heritage and immigrant roots. And like the rest of her community, our country is better because she is in it. 13/10

I just had a terrible thought that probably other, smarter people have already thought of. At present, community notes are (at least generally speaking) considered a trustworthy source of fact checking. But given the fact they’re crowd sourced, and the current makeup of the “crowd” over there, (1/2)

Really excited about this one! And really hoping the Longacre curse doesn’t strike (adding it to my May NYC weekend, though, just in case!)
Dead Outlaw Is Coming to Broadway
The David Yazbek-Erik Della Penna-Itamar Moses musical played an Off-Broadway run earlier this year.

Kelsey really puts her finger on something that drives nuts about AI: The people who love it don't care about whether its output is GOOD. Just that it IS.

It's the sex robotification of art. If you can fuck it, it's sex. If it's got words in it, it's a book. Perfect. No human connection necessary.

I didn’t try any of this, but I swear to you that I just saw this and it’s a real thing

That little jolt of excitement I get as I see each account that I enjoyed following at the other place trickle in here one by one
is only matched by the little jolt of excitement I get when I see someone who migrated over here a long time ago and who I missed following over there.
