this is the reason i yell so much about literacy. it's not an exaggeration. the average replier quite literally does not know how to read. three-cueing is like trying to cook blindfolded based on the smells you imagine for ingredients you've never used after watching a recipe video
ever since I learned about three-cueing I've developed infinitely more patience for replies on social media. mfers literally do not know how to read. people are walking around conjuring random meanings into words they don't know, and they don't know a lot of words. it's crazy
