What specific strains of fuschia are (1) good for hanging pots and (2) actually produce nectar for hummingbirds? To tempt them from my native garden up to my balcony :) Until now I've had great luck with the $20 CostCo baskets but 2025's variety was flowers-only. #pnwbirds #birding

Two orca in East Passage, southbound after a bit of what looked like milling. Mid-channel, one adult male closer-in and just finished a bout of pectoral-slapping. The other slightly ahead and more mid-channel. Just about to pass in front of the northernmost houses on Gold Beach.

Unfortunately this is also the time to prep for fall starts, scrub dozens of pots and planters. Can put on long sleeves but WET + chilly is still not fun.
