While going through some magazines from the early nineties recently, I learned of a secondary justification for the name change, on top of the violence: the BBC thought British children wouldn't understand what a ninja was. Just layers and layers of condescension and contempt for the audience.
Remember when we used to get proper review of the year, in 1990 Jonathan Dimbleby had a look at Teenage Mutant hero* Turtles. BBC still only brought the first 4 series

Begrudgingly I must admit that digital #comics are better than print in some respects. Corbie issue 4 had a visual inconsistency in the final pages where Corinne inserted her sword into her backpack the wrong way. An amended version rolling out today on most platforms corrects this...

I have acquired the elusive festive gingerbread Pepsi (a UK Tesco exclusive)! Hoping this is close to the long-discontinued Pepsi Max Ginger, which I continue to miss even if no-one else does. :p
