Looking like it is going to be an amusing book. Unknown Soldiers by Väinö Linna.

Just saw the opening scene of Snow Crash in real life. Dude is bookin it. I’m like wtf is his problem as he disappears into the subway station. Then he sprints back my direction. McDonalds bag in hand. Someone did him dirty. But the algo has him praying he can be the deliverator.

Sad.

My convenience store closed on me. And my favorite bakery. And one of the morning baozi places.

The nearest 美宜佳 has sort of introduced a store without a clerk.

They can’t quite do it, because of the alcohol and cigarettes, but poor dude has no counter, no little office, just has to camp out.

More Everything Forever strikes me as a terrible book. You can’t open with an appeal to Yudkowsky’s expertise. Pivot to his claim we should be willing to nuke data centers, and then say the dude might someday win the Nobel Peace Prize for his “work” on AI.

Just hit upon the title for for memoir.Me Talk Not Too Shabby One Day. Reader, you could hear a pin drop.

Serves me right for changing register.

This is sort of an interesting snap shot of how these guys view government and where they think the power really is.

Luckey is interesting. DoD is the biggest department, but he’s the only dude to put someone in there.

A long time since I’ve seen an orange flight suit. Would actually sort of make sense.

You wear orange so search and rescue can spot you easier. Because the Taiwanese would mostly be flying over Taiwan, they don’t really have to worry about evasion.
🪖🇹🇼 Walked by a Taiwan military recruitment center. Very 可愛 / kawaii. Not entirely convinced the cartoon soldier and teddy bears project military might or strike fear in the PLA's heart. Or attract the right candidates? Although — I'd love a plushie.

Listening to what OpenAI wants to do and feels like we’re either going to end up with a Dune style pre born abomination.

They want you personal AI to remember every book you’ve read. Every email. Your whole life.

Idk maybe it’s not an Abomination maybe it’s Meat Fucker.
