Pinned
I should probably have a pinned intro post, huh? Hi, I'm Gregiffer, I'm a queer Youtuber running the Pop Arena channel. I cover a lot of stuff, but my main project is Nick Knacks, a history of Nickelodeon that looks at every single show that ever aired on the channel.

A good-but-not-S-tier season comedy wise, but this series of Taskmaster was bonkers from a sports perspective, just a real nail biter. You could tell production was not ready for how tight the scores were going to be there at the end.

We need to bring back cheap terrible cartoons based on popular bands and artists. I want an animated Post Malone teaching kids to not pollute! I want Imagine Dragons with actual dragons! I want Sabrina Carpenter the Teenage Witch!

I'm legit astonished that 20,000 documents from the Epstein Files were made public, one outlet even made it searchable to the public, and it still hasn't shown up on Bluesky's trending topics. Are we so siloed that things can just be buried in plain site now?

We created a searchable database with all 20,000 files from Epstein’s Estate
Easily find every mention of Trump, Clinton, blackmail, and potential sex crimes in the thousands of private messages between Epstein and his close associates.

I've been lost way too long. I know there's a path somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't find it. It's hard to keep searching at this point.

I've never been the biggest Poker Face fan, but I respect Rian Johnson's grift of cramming every single iconic actor he can into his career. Take a chance on new talent? Fuck that, Ethan Hawke can play "guy who sprays people's mouths."

VALVE CEO: Hmm let's see... does anyone here know who's addicted to Valve products and buys weird hardware at the drop of a hat?

GAY INTERN: {quietly} Sir… I have to teach you a term right now…

CEO: Is it "Six Sigma"? Because I'm way ahead of you

INTERN: No, no… it's… "T4T"…
Let me just say that Valve really knows their audience by picking these two as poster children for the Steam Machine:

lol, this post is getting a third wind. Trans rights!
Today marks the 40th anniversary of the 7th episode of Dirty Pair, "愛こそすべて命賭けます逃避行!!" or "Love Is Everything, Betting Their Lives on Elopement", one of the most overtly trans-positive episodes of anime of its era. This was the future they predicted for us in 1985. We can still get there.

At risk of flogging a dead horse: this whole letter is a reminder that the creative process is an end in and of itself, and vital to self-actualisation. You can’t experience BECOMING, as he puts it, by outsourcing it to ChatGPT.
In 2006 a high school English teacher asked students to write to a famous author & ask for advice.

KURT VONNEGUT - born 103yrs ago today - was the only one to respond.

His reply was a doozy.

100% this is just drumming up publicity and there isn't actually a problem, but I do think we as a society need to embrace loosey-goosey continuity more.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

And that’s why the Advent Calendar House is brought to you by 30- to 40-year-old cereal commercials.
Someone just told me that spotify is running ice ads before the @thezeldacast.bsky.social

Fuck that
