Greens co-founder Drew Hutton could have his life membership of the party’s Queensland branch reinstated in what he says is a “hollow” victory, following debate over his comments on “transgender ideology”.
The Queensland Greens have flagged that a vote on his possible return would be held next week, after they received advice from lawyers that the party had denied him natural justice when revoking his membership. Continue reading...

Not having to live the US shitshow, the Dems gave exactly the number of votes necessary, with no one voting facing midterm re-election, giving the party a "we saved you" line for Fed services, employees & SNAP. Republicans will backflip on health insurance, making them own rises. It's good politics

Ok my EG Whitlam yarn. Early 90's Gough is speaker at a national Young Labor dinner. I'm a new SVP and get to sit next to him. He's being introduced by another delegate - at inappropriate length. Gough leans in a bit to me and asks *do the voice*

There’s a young southern woman on tt doing an experiment: calling churches & asking if they can help her get baby formula, saying she can’t afford it. Of the 30+ she’s called, nearly every church has said no. The ones who said yes were:

Tell me an unpleasant truth about your profession?
Mine is politics. Most participants and the keenly engaged are still only a third of the way to being across how anything politically works on any topic. And the older you get, the harder you have to check yourself from being condescending.

The last time NSW cops got more power over protests they beat the seven shades of shit out of Hannah Thomas. Every law you make to empower police against Nazis, will be used against environmentalists, unions and all social activists. This has always been the way

The American establishment - be they liberals or otherwise - trying to deal with even the faintest hint of leftism in their 21st century politics is pretty funny. You could all just try being normal for a change as an alternative you know. Though, you won't get paid to say or write words for that eh

See, this why you can't just be popping off at the mouth if you don't mean it, words have power.
I’ll give Dick Cheney props for one thing. When he said New York would have a Muslim mayor over his dead body, he really meant it… 😳

Sussan Ley and her zoo have the opportunity to institutionally change Australia more towards the Liberal Party than any leader since Menzies. Break from the Nats, run three cornered contests, and eradicate them off the back of Labor preferences. One shot in the locker - aim carefully.
