Republicans can try to blame the shutdown on Democrats all they want …

Trump is INTENTIONALLY denying food assistance to 1 out of every 8 Americans. Going OUT OF HIS WAY to do it. Appealing to the friggin Supreme Court!!

He’s doing this to people.
Demand an audit of USDA’s budget now. Senate is still around. Call all of them day and night.

Why are they fighting distributing the SNAP funds??? It’s beyond absurd.

RFK Jr is dismantling the CDC IRB.

This is an unmitigated disaster.
The entire HR department at the CDC is gone. Everyone at the IRB, which makes sure studies are conducted ethically and rigorously, and the ethics office, which oversee conflicts of interest for CDC leaders and advisory committee members, were also let go.

So now anyone who criticizes our Dear Leader "hates America" and is "very violent".
Emmer: "We call it the 'Hate America' rally because you'll see the hate for America all over this thing when they show up. The rumor is that they can't end this shutdown because this small but very violent and vocal group is the only one that's happy about this."

I posted this one week after the election in 2024. Holds up.
Billionaire grifters are about to dismantle your government. So instead of your tax dollars going to your Medicare or your Medicaid or your affordable care act or to veterans benefits or your social security - it will go to THEM in the form of tax cuts for the wealthy.

This statement is a clear example of what is known as “State Terrorism”: When the dictatorship will order all instruments of its state security & intelligence apparatus against its own citizens to terrorize the population.

How exactly is this different from Kristallnacht?
I spoke to a Venezuelan woman who was arrested in this raid and later released with her 4yo son. She said agents broke down their door, pointed guns at them and made sexualized remarks about Venezuelan women. When she returned to her apartment it was boarded up and all her possessions were gone.

Just a reminder: they were never actually against cancel culture. They were against the cancellation of people they agree with or like. They’ve always been enthusiastically in favor cancelling people they don’t like. If you took them at their word you’re a useful idiot.
Rand Paul: "People say, 'Oh, people have a right to say things.' Well, actually they don't necessarily have a right to say things. Many people have in their contract what we call a morals clause ... I think it is time for this to be a crackdown on people."

Not hard to imagine, really. Charlie Kirk literally called Floyd a “scumbag” and blamed his death on taking fentanyl.
Fox News' Marc Thiessen, without a hint of irony: "Imagine if – we didn’t see this on the right, but imagine if after the George Floyd killing, people had gone on in saying he was a POS and that I’m glad he's dead... do you think anybody would have employed them ever again?!"

On the one hand, I absolutely agree that in a free democracy, people should be able to say whatever they want without fear of violent retribution.

On the other, I wonder how someone can earn a living as a professional provocateur, then be surprised when people are ... provoked.

Let me be clear: Political violence has no place in America. I condemn this act, and we all must work together to ensure this does not lead to more violence.

Since we are talking about political violence by political affiliation here is the data. If a political hate crime was committed it was likely done by right wing extremists
