Isn't Jim Justice now a senator? Everyone on the news keeps referring to him as Governor

Terrible what happened in DC but Kash Patel is a completely unqualified douchebag!

Et tu @velshi.com? Please don't have Chris Matthews on any more. He was awful when he was forced to resign and he's still awful. I turned the TV off this morning while he was on

Wow
Jeffrey Epstein to Lawrence Summers (both of whom are very bad people):

“i have met some very bad people , none as bad as trump. not one decent cell in his body. so yes- dangerous”

If you’ve got a Senate Democrat who is not calling for new leadership, they’re part of the problem.

We should no longer trust Senate Dems who decline to come out against the leadership that led us here. Until proven otherwise, we should assume they were in on the game to fool their own supporters.
“After a year spent organizing to try to convince the Democratic Party to unify and oppose this regime, here’s where I am: The time for convincing is over. We need new leadership.” - @ezralevin.bsky.social

Yay!
Incredible. Progressive challenger Katie Wilson now has a 91-vote lead in Seattle’s race for mayor. She had been steadily gaining on incumbent Bruce Harrell.

There are about 8,000 ballots left to count.

Dem Senators, you need to shun and shame the Traitorous 8 (otherwise it just shows that they are taking the fall for the caucus as a whole), and you need to get rid of weak and feckless Chuck Schumer as leader

Since the Democrats worked extra hard to hide who actually supported this, I think the No Kings/Resistance position should be to primary every Democrat unless they publicly call for Schumer's ouster this week

Either they go into total rebellion mode, which they won't, or the people will

I know it shouldn't matter, but it feels especially bad and wrong that 4 of the 8 Dem senators (half!) voting for this mess are women. Feels like even more of a betrayal coming from women, who should know better!

This looks awfully intentional.
None can be primaried in the next cycle, Shaheen & Durbin retiring.

Hassan, Masto, Fetterman up for reelection in 2028.

Rosen, Kaine, King up for reelection in 2030.

So... is peacefully overthrowing the government a thing? Because I really don't see voting our way out of this.
November 10, 2025 at 2:27 AM
Exactly! Which is why I think they are all worthless feckless cowards
Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
November 10, 2025 at 2:21 AM
Never giving another PENNY to those feckless cowards. If they couldn't keep their caucus together they are all WORTHLESS. No more work to elect them either, I am DONE

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

DURBIN IS A LIAR!!!
Durbin is a YES on this deal: “At Democrats’ urging, today’s bill is not the same one we’ve voted down 14 times. Republicans finally woke up and realized their Groundhog Day needed to end. This bill is not perfect, but it takes important steps to reduce their shutdown’s hurt.”

Shutting down the government is a big deal. People have been hurt in big ways as a result of the decision. To have that suffering be for nothing—to re-open the government without actually having protected people’s health insurance and economic well-being—is unconscionable.
November 9, 2025 at 11:14 PM
Yep! No more money, no more work to get Dems elected because WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT if you're just going to fold to the Repubs anyway?
I will not only blame the Senate Democrats who are caving. I will blame them all. They needed to keep their ranks in order. If this happens, it's the most spineless political retreat imaginable and it will harm millions upon millions of Americans. Chickenshit, self-neutering nonsense. Cowards.
November 10, 2025 at 12:50 AM
This whole "promise of a vote" thing is a complete LIE and the Dems who are going along with this KNOW that. The only way the ACA subsidies pass the 60 vote threshold in the Senate is if it's part of the deal to reopen the government. It is a completely cynical and dishonest ploy by these Dems
November 10, 2025 at 12:44 AM
A "promise" of a vote which will fail due to the filibuster gets Dems NOTHING
What was this whole thing for, then? How can they justify this?
November 10, 2025 at 12:19 AM
These rumors of Senate Dems getting ready to cave are *pissing me off*! I just called @murray.senate.gov and left a strong voicemail, don't cave on ACA. The "promise" of a vote is total bullshit (and i apologized but I did use that word in my voicemail)

Disappointed in the initial results of the Seattle mayoral race, let's hope Katie can catch up and overtake Harrell. Very happy that Davison and Nelson are losing!!

Very glad I'm not invested in the outcome of *this* 15 inning game the way I was at the Mariners/Tigers game! That was super stressful, this is just more baseball 🤣

At the ballpark for ALCS Game 5! ##letsgomariners!

Hard to believe, but the Mariners are up 2-0 in the ALCS! I don't want to jinx it by being too optimistic but this is huge! #gomariners
