I think it’s worth being explicit about what’s going on with the Zohran admissions stuff - this is a bad faith attack designed to try to drive the older Black voters that made up Cuomo’s base in the primary and who vote party line in the general to support Eric Adams to keep Mamdani out of City Hall

Stripping millions of immigrants of their ability to legally work will not only just cripple the labor market, it will also reduce demand. Immigrants losing jobs means fewer people paying rent, car insurance, buying groceries, etc. White nativism is terrible for the economy.

“Why won’t Zohran Mamdani denounce a dangerous slogan?” asks a headline in the Atlantic.

Meanwhile, Andrew Cuomo isn’t asked to denounce a dangerous war criminal whose legal team he joined.

it’s honestly so stupid that so much of the NYC mayoral election is centered around foreign policy regarding a small country 5,000 miles away rather than who will build the most housing and bus lanes

I will be damned if I allow a bunch of Confederate-waving January 6th apologists give the American people a lecture on flag waving.

There is ZERO reason to enter an argument about patriotism with people who still worship traitors to America 150+ years later.

Three things made the US a rich and powerful nation: the rule of law, its science & innovation system, and openness to foreign talent. Remarkable how Trump has taken a sledgehammer to all three. No enemy of this country could do more.

Sing it from the rooftops: congestion pricing in NYC is an unambiguous triumph. It is succeeding beyond its backers wildest aspirations & none of the second-order effects people worried about have come to pass.

It's a pure win. Celebrate it! Talk about it! For once, let's own the f'ing narrative.
