A Black police officer, David Rose, was shot and killed defending a federal government building last month, and he didn’t get a presidential medal or a congressional moment of silence.

A white civilian, Charlie Kirk, is shot and killed on a college campus, and he did.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

if they take this moment of political leverage and squander it, even if there are valid fears and legitimate tactical reasons for doing so, they will ALSO lose much of the other form of leverage they currently have—a public looking for strong leadership and willing to follow them

If you want to do something for October 7th, contact all your representatives and the president and tell them to stop funding/supporting the genocide in Palestine, and not to support Israel's actions in Lebanon. I'm your Jewish friend and I approve this message.
Don’t do this.

I really like this guy and his son yelling “that’s my dad” was one of the loveliest things I’ve seen at a big staged political event. Imagine how much more human this night would be if they had found time and space for Palestinian Americans to speak, too

How does the world live with this?

What's the point of having the *most powerful govt/nation* in the world if we can't stop it?

Doesn't anyone in Washington GAF that this is happening many times a day for 10 months?

We commemorate hurricanes that killed fewer people than die in Gaza in one day.

Already feel the need to re-up this.

Twitter is a hellhole of hellhole opinions. And a ton of white GOPers are racists.

We.
All.
Know.
This.

PLEEEEEEAAAAAAASSSSE. Stop reposting Twitter crap.

We can’t mute screenshots. So it’s hard to block the pollution.
Y'all. I had, 💯 no-lie, completely forgotten that Lindsey existed. That was a good thing.

Look, GOP is going to be unhingedly racist going forward. And Xitter will be their main way to unleash that on the broader public.

There's no need to keep screenshotting the worst stuff and showing it here.
oh man, not the Luciferian Marxists! That's the *worst kind* of Marxist!

Two months ago Greg Abbott pardoned a murderer who texted a friend "I might go to Dallas to shoot looters" then drove into a BLM protest in Austin and killed a protester. The universal response from conservatives to the pardon was "Yeah! Woo-hoo!"

Now they say liberals should turn down the rhetoric

This is great. I’m glad such stories are making news. We need to get them into the discourse. the violence is a choice that the authorities are making, not inevitability.
The students at my school did this. They negotiated for it, they got it, and they're disbanding their encampment now that they're done.

Not one arrest. No police. The first campus in the UC system to do it.
