Loved this article. As someone closer to 60 than 50 I love everything about playing football,but I'm a bit sh** tbh. You know what though, it doesn't matter because for the 60, 90 minutes or whatever I'm playing, nothing else matters.

Looking at my 'year in music' stuff, once again its the same bands & artists as the year before and the year before that etc.
Conscious decision this year to listen to new music (to me). Out goes the likes of Avenged Sevenfold and Deadmau5, in comes Loyle Carner and....🤔

Good 2-1 home win for the U's today. 15 minutes of added on time at the end of the match after the ref was taken off injured following a collision with Lavery. Had to get a 4th official from the crowd, stood there in jeans holding up the board for the subs 😆💛🖤 🥥

Finally got round to watching Welcome to Wrexham. Love the journey of the owners and how they have completely fallen for football. Promotion, relegation, 44 league games, cup games, points for draws etc. must be such an alien experience for those raised on US sports.

Just catching up on the @footballcliches.bsky.social podcast. Hill Dickinson looks like a stadium you'd see in the Bundeslegia, maybe Hoffenheim (no idea what their stadium looks like and cant be arsed to Google it but they are a mid German side which seems fitting).
