I kinda liked this one :)
Made me think of this article you wrote last year.

“We can cherish our memories, but we should be clear-eyed about the past. I do not want those days back, and I will not support the vengeful authoritarians who sell such nostalgic rotgut.”
The Lies Nostalgia Tells Us
I was a child in the 1960s, and those days weren’t better—but in one way, they were sweeter.

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

People forgot what happened in the first term. A big reason why is that nearly all media outlets started paywalling their articles in 2021. Trump's Twitter account was also deleted in 2021, and scores of digital media outlets went under from 2021-2024 -- erasing recent history in the process.

Andrew Cuomo gave more money in taxpayer subsidies to Elon Musk than the entire cost of Zohran Mamdani’s free bus plan.

It’s not unreasonable or radical to want our tax dollars to go to programs that help us, instead of as giveaways to billionaires.

Want to see how far right the Republican Party has gone?

Watch George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan answer a question about illegal immigration during a 1980 debate.

They wouldn’t even be allowed in today’s Republican Party.
