I really do think this is true.

Rockstar leadership deciding to fire 30+ union workers and the workers deciding to fight back is going to be something we look back on as a turning point for our unionization effort.

It’s nice seeing people wax nostalgic about old Gameloft games I worked on like Dungeon Hunter. The 2010 kids with the hand-me-down iPhones are now young adults, and that’s what they played back then.

Union comrades - does your union have some sort of relief for people currently going through something? Be it a dispute, casework, organizing drive, etc?

Could you tell me (or even better link me) about the policy and how it works?

City councillors in Montreal make something like $50k CAD, which is peanuts in this city. This encourages only the wealthy or folks with passive income (like landlords) to run.
The Mayor of New York only makes $260k. I bet there are police that make more than that in NY with overtime.

We need to pay elected leaders more money and stop pretending it's some sort of calling. They're managing hundreds of billions of dollars in investments and millions of people's lives.

Three of the union-busted Rockstar employees were in Canada. If anyone knows them could you please put me in contact? Fellow union organizer (at Bethesda in my case) would love to chat and pick their brains and offer support. #rockstar #union #gtavi

This is the most ruthless act of union busting in the history of the UK games industry. Yesterday, @rockstargames.com unfairly fired over 30 employees for union activity.

We won't back down, and we're not scared - we will fight for every member to be reinstated.
BREAKING: Yesterday Grand Theft Auto VI maker Rockstar Games fired dozens of people, all of whom were involved in union efforts. A British union calls it "blatant and ruthless" union-busting. Take-Two Interactive says it was due to misconduct.

Imagine what A.I. features would have been shoehorned into Steam over the past few years if Valve was publicly traded.

Alternate universe Simon is complaining about his Steam+ subscription going up to twenty bucks a month just for Alyx Assistant to talk to me while I’m playing Factorio.

Thinking about competing with Steam?

Think about how big Fortnite is, and then about how small EGS.

Then count the amount of Fortnites you have. Is it more than Epic? Then how are you going to get more market share than they have?
To compete with Steam you must first:
- Make something as good as Half-Life 1 then 2

- Find a new method of distribution that nobody else has done, at the same time that the old one is dying

- Fail for 5 years with zero competition

- Release killer apps as good as Portal and Team Fortress 2
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

I wonder if there's a good factory game out there where a run doesn't take 100 hours like Satisfactory or Factorio. I'd like to play a fun conveyor belt management game where a match takes, like, an hour. Like a game of Starcraft. Kinda like what Against The Storm did for city builders.
