I've seen Perry with the Cure several times, but it was his participation with the 1995 Page/Plant reunion tour that sticks out. Saw them launch into "Lullaby" at Reunion Arena and I'm pretty sure I was one of maybe 3 people in the audience that knew what was happening.

@kierlajanisse.bsky.social This is a bit of an odd question, but would you happen to know of a source for Svankmajer's "Alice?" I know BFI put out a dvd and blu-ray in 2011, but copies are hard to find.

Does anyone else think it weird that James Bond went to outer space that one time and none of his co-workers ever mentioned it again?

I can't believe I picked up a guitar for the first time close to 40 years ago and I'm only just now trying to learn the intro to "All Right Now" by Free.

For those who have not read the novels, in "Dr. No," Honey Rider makes her first appearance on page 69. Probably a coincidence.

Dallas doesn't have a, how shall we say it, good relationship with the federal government. There have been some definite low- points over the years. Sometimes, we can still pull off a decent protest.

As end-of-empire scenarios go it is so much more dignified to get your capital city sacked by the Visigoths than to have a bunch of illiterate rich people in their 70s doing it through a series of incomprehensible tantrums because their brains were defeated by their phones.

Stumbled across "The House on Laura Anne Dr." on Tubi. It starts with a guy who - without consulting his wife - moves them to Florida (on purpose!) and buys a house with no kitchen island or a walk-in closet for her.

Definitely a horror film. This guy is toast.

Kid: "Who's Ed Gein?"

Me: "You know what, never mind."
