Got a reply from the staff of @fetterman.senate.gov reassuring me of his commitment to preserving health care access in PA. BUT, I called to ask him to protect US science agencies and the $2B PA receives from the NIH. Basically, this isn't even on the radar enough to have a canned response. 😡 Great.

It goes without saying that this will apply to MANY submitted publications. As a manuscript editor who specializes in medical publications, I see "Gender" used when "Sex" is meant ALL THE TIME. So much so that I've wondered if the two were becoming interchangeable even in scientific writing.
