"He’s impressed by what Vance had made of his tough upbringing – detailed in the book Hillbilly Elegy – BUT ALSO HIS REAL-WORLD MILITARY EXPERIENCE." ffs! Vance was deployed to an air-base in Iraq for about six months in 2005 as a military journalist and didn't experience combat.
So many laughable assumptions in this opening sentence that I honestly don't know where to start. 🤦

"What I struggle to understand, I say to Danny Kruger in his office at Reform UK HQ, is why a serious Conservative, with a glittering future like yours, would defect to a party led by Nigel Farage?

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

Farage’s spokesperson has said: “there is no primary evidence. It’s one person’s word against another”.

Read here what 18 people say otherwise, more than half of them on the record.

W/ Daniel Boffey and @drblacklock.bsky.social.
Twenty people allege he has a racist past. He denies it. Who’s telling the truth about Farage’s schooldays?

Ed. I really hope you will push this in parliament and in the media at every opportunity. Its clearly been covered up by those in power, and the public need to know the truth. If that brings down public figures, so be it.

If Labour let this go, and Farage walks into No.10, ripping us out of the ECHR to the delight of Putin, it will be the biggest political disaster in UK history.

Investigate the traitor FFS. He needs to be in jail.

A couple more from me/most of us:

Do you deny, Farage, that Putin has been delighted with the Brexit result and ongoing damage to British and European interests?
What are your thoughts on these comments from Russia’s ambassador to the UK?

bsky.app/profile/13sa...
Russia's ambassador to the UK, Yakovenko, boasted about Brexit to another diplomat:
“We have crushed the British to the ground. They are on their knees and will not rise for a very long time”
Today, Farage’s close ally, leader of Reform in Wales, was sentenced to 10yrs for taking bribes from Russia.
Brexit has caused almost twice as much damage to the UK economy than estimated by official forecasts, according to new paper from a group of experts including a senior Bank of England economist

“Did Nathan Gill ever say anything you disagree with in return for his bribes from a Kremlin stooge?”

“Did you, in your roles as his boss, friend, mentor & party leader, ever question his full-throated support for an enemy of the UK and if not, why not?”

You can have those for nothing, lads.

The right wing elite are ruthless in protecting their own and getting what they want.
They wanted Johnson. (And what a disaster that was for us).
Now they want Farage. (Would be an off the scale catastrophe for the country).
Time we woke up to the betrayal.

Putin's ambitions to conquer Ukraine and recreate the Russian Empire pose a once-in-a-generation threat to the whole of Europe. We cannot allow Trump to reward his aggression.

The Prime Minister must use this opportunity to call for Russia to be removed from the G20.
