Most devs take it for granted that rounded corners are circles. Spoiler: They don't have to be!

So Unity recently decided that the tiny startup I dayjob for needed to upgrade to Industry at 5k/year/seat. We had no chance to contest it because they would have killed our only product. They even threatened people we worked with in the past with the same.

It's not just us.

imo if you want to actually finish a game you should use a pre-built engine like godot.
making assets and implementing all the specific stuff takes long enough as it is, this is coming from someone who wrote multiple engines from scratch before finally agreeing to use godot instead
