The job of a first draft is to make the work exist.

The job of subsequent drafts (and your editor) is to make the work good.

Happy #NationalSweaterDay 😊

It’s always a great day to see LeVar Burton and Mister Rogers smiling in their sweaters while reading a book 💛

Just wrapped up the first editorial business coaching call of the year. Can’t believe I’ve been doing this for 4 years now!

As an introvert, I still get nervous before going on camera, but it’s 💯 percent worth it.

I truly love helping people find more time, money, and joy in their lives

Nora Roberts writes 6-8 hours a day, and has been writing 4 books a year consistently. Incredible! Her career is an inspiration

Nora Roberts is happily defying genres, 250 books in
Nora Roberts is so prolific she had to take up a pen name so her publisher could release more of her books each year. It’s not just about her speed. It's also her range.

Guess what #booksky friends? Today it was announced that all public libraries in Toronto will be open 24/7 by Sept.2026!

We have the world’s busiest urban public library system, and now so many more people will be able to find joy regardless of background. Hope other cities do the same one day ❤️📚

Just got an email from one of my former students, a new mom. She just landed a part-time copyediting job that lets her work remotely and set her own hours. I couldn’t be happier for her. It will allow her to earn an income while also putting her family first. Something I wish all parents could do

So when I want to write, I can’t think of a word to put down. But when I have to work and take care of obligations, suddenly an entire novel fills my mind 😞

Today is a great day to start on that dream you just can’t stop thinking about. Write the book, start the project, draw the first line, make the call.

Your first step can take you somewhere you don’t ever want to leave

Thinking of my American friends rn. Today is the epitome of the Sunday Blues. Do whatever you need to find some peace. A lot of us in Canada and around the world are thinking of you
