I say that apart from family and friends I have been able to get everything I need in Kirikiriroa. It's a lie, I have not found a good flower supply. 5 gorgeous peonies for $12 at my favourite fruit and veggie shop on the North Shore for my Grandma's birthday. I have only seen them here at 3 for $17

Having my semi regular pity party about the balance between meaningful part time work that still allows me to be present as a mom and realising that the world isn't designed for that. I am expendable at work, I am needed by the kids but that doesn't help bring money in.

So the Prime Ministers new attack on teachers is their 12 weeks of school holidays which we all know many teachers work through.
Regardless. NZ Parliament has 20+ weeks of recess each year including a far longer summer break than most professions including teaching!!!

So... the way research is being funded in this country is an exit strategy?

So fiscally responsible
To sum up we're likely spending ~$700m per ferry to get worse ferries than the two we ordered for $550m total
So-orig it was $551m for 2 top of the line Korean rail ferries delivered this year & next. It cost National $671m to cancel them. We don’t know the added price for these Chinese Ferries-hopefully they won’t be full of asbestos like the rail carriages were #nzpol www.1news.co.nz/2025/10/14/g...
