I say that apart from family and friends I have been able to get everything I need in Kirikiriroa. It's a lie, I have not found a good flower supply. 5 gorgeous peonies for $12 at my favourite fruit and veggie shop on the North Shore for my Grandma's birthday. I have only seen them here at 3 for $17

Apparently it's already summer in Kirikiriroa.
Con: melting
Pro: strawberry season

How rude, lying on my bed in the sun while I sort and put away the laundry. How do I apply to become a cat?

Love reporting dumping and general rubbish accumulation in the park behind our house only for the council to ignore me for weeks. Spent some time this afternoon trying to carefully extract jasmine runners and roots out of it and discovered it's even worse than we thought. Will try again on Monday 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am so glad I am not the only one who does this. I hope yours is delightful, the one I threw together last year was quite yummy.

Happy Dog Tail Syndrome has struck. Honestly surprised that it took this long given the way that thing whips around. If you visit our house please don't be alarmed by tiny blood splatters on the walls 🫣🤣 Every time we think we have got them all we find another

Ok I shall be cute, he is a good human!

What would I do without our window vacuum? The house has an HRV, is well insulated and gets all day sun and I still get 600 mL of water off the windows. New Zealand houses are dumb

On a much lighter note I have entered my faculty wife era. Baked cookies for @drbenomycin.bsky.social 's group meeting this afternoon.

Lunchbox notes for Schools' Pride Week Aotearoa. This year's theme is "Everyone is Magic" which is so encouraging and inclusive. Hope it's a bright and beautiful week for you all 🌈💕🌈

When you don't quite have the cake vision sorted before you start but it all works out

Thankfully she is quite proud of her accessories and has not stopped living her best princess puppy lifestyle

Having a rough Monday? Honey has got your back. Her lovely Easter trip to the bach turned into an allergic reaction and she has been subjected to a bath, booties and now the cone of shame 🫣 Got to love that sensitive skin from her Shar Pei ancestry

How do we feel about "alternative" hot cross buns? Thanks @drbenomycin.bsky.social for pointing out that the obvious choice this year was a fairy bread bun as I have filled my baking cupboard with sprinkles. Dark chocolate and cardamon for our teen who has much more refined taste than her parents

I like to cook them just in a bit of butter instead of oil and I added cardamom to the cinnamon sugar today which was not a bad choice

So glad I remembered about feijoa fritters at the beginning of the season this year.

Why @drbenomycin.bsky.social is justified for having dinner timeline trust issues. Saturday morning Emma "I want to do an easy dinner, let's have kimchi grilled cheese tonight." Starts making brioche at midday and it doesn't even go into the oven till 7:30 pm 🫣 He did tell me to just buy bread...

After being a stay at home mom for 10 years I am feeling so lucky to be part of a team that let me help to rework a first year lab course and move it from a lab report heavy assessment format to an in lab workbook. First hard copies hot off the presses and I love them 🤓🤣😍

I did a thing...but on a scale of 1-10 how badly do we need a matching family set of these?!

So pleased it worked for her. Mine says she pressed hers six times and I definitely looked at my heart and thought of her 🥹🥰

She takes the long weekend seriously. Slept past 9 and after a quick sniffy walk has collapsed in her fluffy bed.
