I would also like to note that this random guy — whose name we will probably never know — has shown more courage and care for his community than nearly every elected Democrat. He has certainly shown more than any in leadership positions.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

Putting the Arctic Ocean closer to the center, this brings the Greenland Canada gambit into focus. It is a grab for power, money, water, and resources, also giving the US complete control over the Northwest Passage. Fentanyl and the border are a smokescreen for a much bigger project: theft.

@schumer.senate.gov If you vote for cloture you are a stain on this country’s history that will never go away. You are willingly passing power to a tyrant in waiting, and you are a disgrace to every oath of office any senator has ever sworn. Your legacy will be one of cowardice and contempt.

@schiff.senate.gov @padilla.senate.gov If Schumer votes for cloture and you do not immediately call for his resignation for betraying the ideals of the Democratic Party, I will not ever vote for either of you again, and will use every avenue in my power to make sure you are not re-elected.

Again: since there have been no reports of violence against Musk’s Misfits, watch for Trump hack Martin to try to investigate or charge people for merely naming them or publishing their pictures.

It’s clear that more time is needed to find an American buyer for TikTok.

We will continue working to keep TikTok alive, protect content creators’ livelihoods, protect against CCP surveillance, and protect national security.

I will work with the Trump Admin to find a solution.

"I suggest you do a little homework," she says.

It is entirely logical to be furious at the fossil fuel industry, whose decades-long campaign of corrupting politicians, crafting fake science, sowing false doubt, and lying at an industrial scale has brought us to this moment. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/10/o...

You know why those H-1B immigrants are smarter and better qualified for high tech jobs?

Because they benefited from excellent education and free college in their home countries, while dumb anti-education MAGA dumbfucks homeschool the next generation of mouth-breathing yokels.

Remember the right-wing plot to sabotage Jimmy Carter’s re-election by urging Iran to hold American hostages longer? You don’t? It’s a shocking example of the American right’s treachery that more people should know about. (Gift link to 2023 NYT story.)

We also acquired an internal Pentagon presentation delivered to high-ranking general officers this year. It declares America's unregulated data brokers a threat to "force protection" that DOD can't even assess. Troops are powerless on the individual level to protect themselves, it says.

I voted for the Green Party once, though it was for Nader. My wife stayed home that election. No big deal, it was just November 2000. In Florida. Decided by 537 votes.

Just SCOTUS Roberts and Alito.

Just wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I don't vote third party anymore, once was bad enough.
