Ask your mall Santa to explain the difference between ὁμοούσιος and ὁμοιούσιος. If he can’t, he’s not the real St. Nicholas.

British five-year-olds are up to 7cm shorter than children of the same age in Europe, with experts suggesting poor nutrition is responsible. Yes, it bloody well is time the two-child benefit cap was scrapped.

Strange thing is that Trump seems to have more unchecked power than our King; possibly more than George III had back in the 1770s.
Ever since day one of his second term, Trump has used ‘national emergencies’ to bypass Congress and rule by decree. This week, the Supreme Court will weigh in, and if it sides with him, the decision could pave the way for unchecked presidential power and a slide toward autocratic rule in the U.S.

“There are some people who hate London, and hate New York,” Mayor Sadiq Khan told me, on Bloomberg TV. “There's a reason why they demonize London, and now, indeed, New York. Why? Because we are progressive cities. We are liberal cities. We are multicultural cities. And we are incredibly successful.”

A slightly tricky tightrope to walk as a standard bearer of freedom of speech when you’re also sending cease and desist letters to the PM for mildly criticising your economic record.
Liz Truss to CPAC in Budapest today: "It used to be the case that people would flee Eastern Europe to Britain for freedom. Now it's the other way."

The new comedy character that Alexander Armstrong plays - the one where he's a middle-class crybaby whining about VAT on posh school fees - is hilarious and definitely his best work.
